Privacy Policy

Velocitydonum LLC ("Velocity", "we", "us") operates the Velocitydonum platform at velocitydonum.com. Velocity is built around opt-in by default. Anything that shares your data with anyone — including other Velocity users — requires you to turn it on first.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, optional profile photo, and optional mobile phone number.
- Activity: offers you post, offers you redeem, and items you pass forward.
- Location: only when you grant permission, and only to show what is near you.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
SMS / text messaging
Velocitydonum may send SMS or MMS messages to mobile numbers that have opted in. These messages relate to actions you started: a code you redeemed, a thank-back credit you earned, or a card someone passed to you, and merchant notifications for business accounts.
- How you opt in: only in writing, on a Velocitydonum screen you control. You enter your own mobile number and check an unchecked-by-default consent box before it can be submitted — either by scanning a merchant QR code at the point of redemption, or in the Velocitydonum web app. Velocitydonum does not accept verbal consent as a standalone opt-in, and never imports, purchases, or enters mobile numbers on anyone’s behalf. Consent to texts is never required to use Velocitydonum — every opt-in screen carries a visible “Skip — no texts” action, messaging consent is not bundled into our Terms of Service, and declining changes nothing about the service you receive. - Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile phone numbers and messaging consent are used solely to deliver the messages you requested, and are disclosed only to our messaging carrier (Twilio) strictly for the purpose of transmitting those messages on our behalf.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not operate behavioral advertising networks or sell paid placement.
- We do not share your location with a business without your explicit consent.
How we use information
To operate your account, deliver offers and thank-back credits you have earned, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and send the messages described above.
Your choices
- Export all of your data at any time from Settings → Privacy.
- Delete your account at any time; public content is removed within 30 days.
- Turn off text messages at any time by replying STOP or by changing Settings.
- Residents of certain states may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing us.
Cookies and storage
Velocitydonum uses browser localStorage to remember your preferences and offline queue. Our analytics are privacy-friendly and do not fingerprint you across other websites.
Retention
Inactive accounts and ephemeral data (short-lived messages, expired claim tokens) are removed automatically by our data-retention process.
Children
Velocitydonum is not intended for children under 13. Teen Mode (ages 13–17) limits features and disables payments.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and notify account holders by email.
